Why do I hear a "buzzing" sound when I launch Peak on my G5?

Affected applications: Peak 4, Peak DV 4, Peak LE 4, Peak Express 4

Affected Hardware: G5's using built-in audio hardware

Issue: Some users have reported a buzzing sound from their built-in speakers when launching Peak.

Solution:

1. Launch Peak and go to the Audio menu, select Sound Out, then click on 'CoreAudio'
2. In the CoreAudio window set the clock source menu to 'Internal'. Then click on the 'Hardware Settings' button.
3. In the hardware settings dialog make sure your input device is set to the proper audio hardware. If you are using the built-in audio hardware on your G5, make sure your input and output options are set to 'Built-in'.
4. Restart your machine
