There are times when you may need to access the Library folder in your home directory to delete preferences, etc.
In Mac OS X v.10.7 "Lion" the ~/Library directory is hidden by default, but there are a number of methods to access it.
To Permanently Show the Library folder:
• Open the Terminal application and type:
"chflags nohidden ~/Library/" (without the quotes)
To Temporarily Access the Library folder:
• In the Finder, hold down the Option key and choose "Library" from the "Go" menu.
