Peak Pro 5 Mastering Overview

Load mixes into Peak's Playlist, which offers both list and graphic waveform views, making CD assembly fast and intuitive. Balance levels, and create custom track transitions. Adjust EQ, compression, and other effects for each track. Add PQ subcodes, CD-TEXT — for artist and track name display, as well as ISRC codes, for embedded artist, copyright, UPC/EAN barcode info, and much more. When you're done, output in the desired format.

Trim, Fade, and Adjust Levels

Trim, Fade, and Match Levels Super-smooth tape style scrubbing helps you find the right spots to trim away excess silence leftover in your mixdown files. Create custom fades with just a couple of clicks. Peak's on-board DSP tools, such as Find Peak, Normalize, RMS Normalize, Change Gain, and Gain Envelope help you analyze and match levels between different tracks. Best of all, the nature of Peak's file-based editing means that when you're done editing, you're really done — there's no additional bouncing required.

Custom Track Transitions

Custom Track Transitions Peak's Playlist lets you lay out your tracks just the way you want. Whether it's a few seconds between tracks or custom crossfades blending them together, it's fast and easy. Edit visually with the Waveform View's intuitive Slip and Shuffle modes, or work by the numbers in List View — or both. Need to fine-tune? Quick key commands nudge tracks into place by a user-defined amount per click. Then, audition transitions with optional custom pre/post roll values, and place markers for custom track start times.

Pump Up the Volume

Pump Up the Volume Bring Vbox into the picture, loaded with Freq-4 for final EQ tweaks, and Sqweez-1 compressor to control dynamics and boost levels. Set custom plug-in "snapshots" for your favorite AU or VST effects plug-ins, and apply them on a track-by-track basis to get just the sound you're after. Better yet — go for Peak Pro XT, with the power and precision of the Master Perfection Suite — with linear phase multiband compression, up to 10 bands of EQ, and an amazing 7-in-1 analysis tool to keep an eye on it all.
